IMO Hartford makes the gold standard men’s classic dress shirt.

It’s a French cut (narrow), so sometimes it makes sense to size up (esp if you have broad shoulders or are planning to wear an undershirt, which is always a good idea w/ any white dress shirt I think). A bit pricey but endlessly wearable - dress up or down!
